Certainly not conducive for relaxing with all the noise. Note that hotel does not provide toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers for single room type.Īmenities: wouldn’t advise paying €19 for the spa facilities as the space is very limited and filled with rowdy teenagers. Some days the toilet wasn’t scrubbed, no plastic lining for the bin, no change of cups, etc. In-house restaurant’s burger and fries were good but the pizza is frozen and costs €12.Ĭleanliness: housekeeping is adequate but very inconsistent. I was there for 7 days and would have appreciated some variation. Breakfast is good, but the exact same every single day. I think some flexibility can be practiced here. Service: it was raining very heavily during my arrival at the hotel, and the staff only allowed soaking wet guests to check in at 3pm. I love how quiet the area is without the noise from the main city. You can easily access the city center by tram or metro. Location: very nicely located between tram stops and metro station. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. We had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. We would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone planning a trip in the Netherlands. The breakfast was lovely too and so was the dinner. All areas of the hotel are very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and toiletries replenished. We were very happy with the service at the hotel too.

Fairytale place is how we would describe Zaandam. The hotel location is EXCELLENT in one word. We had a great time walking around the shopping street and also got to enjoy local Dutch food at the cafes. It being in the heart of Zaandam, has several cafes, restaurants and beautiful shops as well as high street stores extremely nearby. There is a fairly large supermarket opposite the hotel. The train to the airport is only 3 stops away and about 18 mins ride.

The train to Amsterdam is only about 12 minutes ride. It is just opposite to the train station, from where you can access trains to the airport, Amsterdam and various other destinations.
